Marcus Walsh - 2017

Marcus Walsh joined Hibiscus Coast Softball Club in the 2006/07 season and has been a valued contributor ever since. While he has never sought a formal leadership or management position, Marcus has consistently been one of the club’s most dependable volunteers, always willing to step forward and help wherever needed.

The strength of community clubs like HBC relies on people like Marcus. His quiet dedication, willingness to lend a hand, and commitment to supporting players and teams have made a lasting impact on the club over many years.

Marcus has coached across a wide range of age grades, from Under 8s through to senior levels, and has played a key role in managing and sustaining the club’s social men’s team. His efforts have helped provide playing opportunities for countless members while fostering the inclusive and welcoming culture that HBC prides itself on.

In recognition of his outstanding service, commitment, and contribution to the club, Marcus was awarded Life Membership in the 2017/18 season, becoming Hibiscus Coast Softball Club’s fifth Life Member. His award reflects not only the many hours he has devoted to the club, but also the positive influence he has had on the HBC community both on and off the diamond.
